EDC

EDC or "Every Day Carry" are items that I have with me almost always on a daily basis. Everyone has a form of EDC, such as a wallet or keys. I have taken it a few steps further and added things that may be of use to me in my every day life. Living in Alaska's extreme climate I find it imperitive to have these items at hand all the time. The most important item I carry every day is my firearm. Most States require a permit to carry but Alaska does not. Now I'm sure some of you do not carry nor do you want to. You might even say that it's unsafe and just plain dumb to do so. If that is your preference than so be it, but since it is my right to carry a firearm, I do. I carry this kit in an urban setting, because I have found it draws less attention than other packs.  Since these pictures I have added contact solution, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, small tarp, water filter straw, Duracell pocket cell phone charger and some energy bars/gronola bars. As I said these are items that work for me, there is no one kit fits all.

A kit like this is fairly inexpensive to create and can be a real lifesaver. It doesn't weigh much, it's not too bulky and it is comfortable to wear. The most important part of any EDC system is having it with you all the time. No matter what you decide to have it does no good if it's left at home.
