Day Hike Bag

This is my Day Hike/GHB "Get Home Bag." It contains the exact same items as my EDC Bag, but this bag is a much better fit for hiking and climbing.  It has a 3L water bladder and 540 cu. in of storage space. I added 2 M-16 Mag Pouches for additional storage. For a list of contents see my EDC page.  I use this in rural setting only.

Camelbak MULE

With this pack I use my leg holster for my .40 Sig Sauer Pro.  It is much more comfortable while hiking and allows for a rapid draw if I come across a charging animal or person.

As always this is what works for me. It is up to you to decide what works well for you. The best advice I can provide is trial and error. Get out and try all your equipment so you know what works and what doesn't.
